I've lost track of the incredible quantity of names that sound strange because they contain an Italian word. I'm sure many of them are lovely, but being Italian, I cannot bring myself to like them....

It happens to me too! I've noticed that I like A LOT of names with A, E, M, L and generally I prefer names which have a stronger, more vivid color.
I love a lot of strong, deep blue or orange names.

Generally, I prefer Bel because it's less frilly. But in this case, I feel that Belle complements Mira better.
I also prefer the pronunciation with the accent on the final syllable.
