I just got married in October. Our wedding was a bit unconventional, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
I think the most important thing is that you remember that it's your wedding, not...

I know a little Aramis! He thinks it's cool that no one else has his name. He gets compliments on it all the time. The only thing I would say is that sometimes it sounds like he, or the other kids...
I'm going to go against the crowd here and say that I think Gus is great on its own. I love it as a nickname for August or Fergus too, but I think it stands up as a full name too. I know several...

I do a baby storytime at my library. I can tell you that anything with a tactile component is a big hit at that age. The Noodle books are awesome. This is a good one.
Also, Sandra Boynton is great...

We've been trying for about two years. My GP told me early on that she thought I had PCOS, but when I went to the OBGYN, she said that she didn't think so- I'm just old (39). She suggested I start...
I'm slightly less sold on Fern after weeding a metric crap-ton (an official* measurement used in the library field for the weight and volume of a pile of crappy romance novels) of Fern Micheals books...
My favorite "L" name is Leonie. I also think you could get away with something that has a strong "L" in it, without starting with "L". Like:

Yay! I love them all, but my favorite is Carmeleah Berrysong. Thanks!
Shameless bump. I'd love to hear more thoughts!
@Mischa- I love your description of Opal! Two thumbs up for exotic mystery!
I'm in grad school, so I don't get to read a lot for pleasure. That said...
So far this year I've read:
Longbourn by Jo Baker
Hyperbole and a Half by Allie Brosh
Discovery of Witches and Shadow...
I just looked at your blog and now I'm obsessed with that Marc Jacobs faceted phone case. Great job!
Love to see so much Fern love!
@aym, I think that Fern and Yael are my favorites too. I'm on the fence about Opal. I still love it, but it might be a little boring...
I know Luna and Calla are NB faves, but I just can't like them. They just don't do anything for me. Briar has a nice sound, but not a nice association. I don't really get it as a name, unless her...
This. Exactly. I have a special place in my heart for Amity though. I've never met an Amity, but I would love to.

I think you could go with Nya, Nyah, Naya, Niah or Naia. Maybe Naja? I think I like Naia or Nya the best.
I love Clementine. I associate it with both the song and the fruit, but neither is bad. Mostly I think of it as a sweet, vintage name.
I think Finnegan Beck is great. Even though I like Dashiell better, I think Beck sounds better with Finnegan. I actually think Beck is a genius, so the association isn't necessarily a negative one...

Cleophee regardless of where the accents are, is a little too frou-frou for me, but I really, really like Cleonie. I'm also a big fan of Clio.
Poll: Which do you prefer?
Hi everyone. We aren't pregnant, just ttc. Lately I've been into short, simple, old-fashioned names that are in that sweet spot of unique and recognizable. None of these are husband approved, but...

Fun! I don't know how I missed this thread!
It's only tangentially a Christmas movie, but I like 3 Days of the Condor. (It takes place during X-mas). I think my favorite song is "Let it Snow," and my favorite tradition is Christmas dinner with...
