I love Max! I don't think it sounds too dog-like at all. I also love Charlie. Isaac is nms. I loved the suggestion of Tate from a pp. How about:
I see Poppy & Millie as great nicknames... but since I assume you'd use them as first names, I voted for Marlowe.
