So I had a long drive today and even though we are no where near ready to TTC (omg I have a wedding to get through first) I was thinking about this same issue today. Would I want to know in advance...
I think Isabelle Layne is way too close to Isabella Jane. I’m sorry but it’s almost awkward that you are asking if it would be awkward.
I think it’s sweet that you want to honor your grandmother...
I like the idea of Haven with Brooklyn. It’s a similar place name, but also a word name which doesn’t make it too matchy.
Others I like: Merida, Elliot, Phoebe, and Rosella.
Oh I love the suggestion of Truesdale. I think you could go with Truesdale and Huckleberry as mn’s for boys and honor your grandmothers boyfriend with both boys. That might be a bit much but it would...
I think that something like Mackenzie or Kenzie would be better than Kinzley and Kenzley. I think it’s the addition of the -ley ending that makes it feel a little strained.
I don’t know how old...
OMG. When I think or “damaging” names I always think of “Men in Tights” and how Latrine changed her name to that from Sh*thouse. Seriously, unless you are naming your child Sh*thouse it’s going to...
I tried to vote but could decide which I loved more. Both Eleanor and Helena are gorgeous. You’ve got quite a decision to make.
I love Leif and I would give it some time to reconsider it. Or at least don’t nix it before something else comes along.
I also like: Ari, Frey, Arne, Erich, Kalle, and Niall.
I think Cameron has a bit of an umph to it as well. Maybe you are just moving into a phase where you like more “normal” and unassuming names as mn with more umph-filled firsts.
Don’t stress about...

Many of my favorites have already been suggested so I apologize for duplications:
Irene (greek goddess of peace)
I think the only problem you’d run across with Elvin is that many people will associate it with elves. I’ve had comments where people feel that Elva is too elfish for them to really consider a good...
They are very theme. But if you are okay with that I think they also work.
I esp like Violet and Rosalie together. Hazel is nms. But I think something like Violet, Rosalie and Lillian would make the...
I always think of the pirate Samuel “Black Sam" Bellamy first. (Then I wonder if Bellamy sounds like a Psychiatric Facility.)
This is actually one of those names I strongly prefer on a boy than a...
There was a gorgeous, witty, sassy and kick-ass Ainsley in the West Wing. I always think of her first when I hear the name. I think it’s a great girls name. (It’s on my extended list).
Z suggestions for Izabella’s little sisters:
(I assume you don’t mind subbing z’s for s’s).
Kzenia (Ksenia) nn Kenzie
Adeliza nn Eliza
Constanze nn Connie or Coco
How about Primrose Lucianna? It would combine your grandmothers name Lucia with St Anne? Or Ana-Lucia?
Here they are in order of my favorite to least favorite:
1) Phoebe Elisabeth (I adore Phoebe but Phoebe Frances is too rhymey).
2) Miriam Frances
3) Alexandra Frances
4) Lydia Frances

I have two middle names. The only problem I’ve ever had is having someone misspell one of them - clearly not a multiple mn problem.
I don’t think two or three mn’s would make a difference - I...
I think the most dominant spelling is probably Rosalind (at least where I am). But it’s prn ROZ-ə-lind. I think for the prn you like, Rosa-Lynn would make more sense. It makes the prn unambiguous. ...

I like both Iris and Vera but I think Iris sounds 100x better in your combo.
Noelle Iris is beautiful - I could even see me suggesting this to my FI if he veto’s my current top list.
1. Ariana Mia
6. Noah (if you spelled it Noa it would be #1)
Honestly one of these are really ms.
The -ph- spelling made me think of Pamphlets.
I think I could get behind Pamfile or Pamfila nn Fi/Fee though.
(But, I’m not huge on P names in general so...)
I don’t think it’s completely unusable but Rosemary Rums3y sounds a bit like a super-hero name to me (akin to Bruce Banner and Peter Parker).
I think that if you and your husband look at your daughter and feel that Ombeline is her name, then it’s her name. While it’s a little unusual in it’s spelling I think that with potential nn’s of Bel...

Yeah my FH is also more tame in his naming choices. I’m hoping that once we start talking about names seriously we can find a bit of a balance (skewed more to my side). I think a double mn that is a...
