What are the names in the top 200 that you can't stand? Not because of popularity but because of the sound or meaning.
For me they are:

most recent list I could find was from 2010
I like all of the names except Anna its too plain for my tastes and Elizabeth is in the top 10 which makes it almost as popular as Emily.

I would include the surname somewhere in the babies name if your family doesn't want it to be the last name make it the middle name or do a hyphenated last name. Sorry to hear about your loss.

Its not really my taste but Mc is a good nickname.Is it pronounced the same as Mikhail? Maybe try: Micah, Miguel, Mikko and Misha.

I like Broderick nickname Rod better, he could also choose to go by Brody that way. Rod is alright but I can't imagine a boy in high school going by Rod.

I think it doesn't stand out too much I'm just not fond of the name at all, looks like something that should be in a story book not an actual name maybe try another goddess like Iris? She would fit...

Eris- Pretty but could get confused with Iris
Ezri- Ok reminds me too much of Ezra though
Miri- I like it but it doesn't look like a full name more like a nn for Miriam
