Since Imogen and Imagene are pronounced very differently, I don't feel it has the same connection.
If I am going to use her name, I want it to be her actual name letter for letter. I also don't...
I think its a sweet nickname and Beatrice is lovely.

My grandmother's name was Imagene (eye-muh-jeen) Her first name was Doris, but she went by her middle.
She passed away when I was young and I have always thought to use her name as a middle if I...

They may be a little misguided and certainly not up to the nameberry standard, but there is no reason to use such harsh language against them.
There are nicer ways to word things!
Beverly certainly isn't the vibe I'm going for! And it reminds me of all the hours I sat and groaned as a child while my father forced us to watch Beverly Hillbillies. :P
Evera is interesting....
Everine is super interesting. I have to say though...I do say this a bit like Wolverine. Which may be a good or a bad thing. Lol
Evermore is fabulous. It gives off an Edgar Allen Poe vibe. If I...
Never heard of Whitt on its own before, but it's definitely growing on me. And it does pair well with Ace.
The only thing that bothers me is that some people may find it feminine. I knew a lot of...

Oh how I adore both of those names. Sadly though, I do agree with the others. It's upsetting that girls can get away with virtue names quicker than boys can. Living in the south, I meet many siblings...
I feel a little silly that I didn't even realize Everett was an Ever name and he's my number one. Duh! Must be the lack of sleep!
I do like Everly. It just sounds a tad trendy to me which makes...
Hadley Jayne- I have never cared for Hadley. It sounds masculine to me. While it definitely isn't terrible, especially since you've wisely chosen a proper spelling, it's just not my cup of tea.
Took a break from my names for a while, but now I'm back!
For years, I have thought that my grandfather's eldest sister's name was Everlena (pronounced Ever-leen-uh), which I adore. I had only...
I agree with you! I certainly don't care for the name Mildred, but I'm sure a tiny Mildred could absolutely rock it. My 13 year old sister has a friend named Edith and I find it darling.
I found this article of so called impossible names for babies to have unless they are born 75 years old. I am so disappointed in people sometimes.
Here are the "impossible" names:
August is incredibly handsome to me. He is strong but with a gentle spirit. Augie I also adore. So playful but still so handsome with August to hide behind.
While Autumn seems to have taken off...

I absolutely love literary names. This is a fun post!
The Book Thief:
(All from Germany)
Liesel and Werner
Hans and Rosa
Rudy, Kurt, Ann-Marie, Emma, and Bettina
I've known plenty of Chelsea's in my age group but no one with my spelling, Chelsie. I absolutely love my non-traditional spelling. No one spells it right but no one mispronounces it. I think it...

I'm so sorry you went through that very frustrating situation and definitely hope it doesn't pull you away from Theodore. Its a very strong and handsome name. Family can be a real pain sometimes.
My dog's name is Bentley and I honestly had no idea it was a car. I didn't figure it out until my vet asked me if I drove him to the clinic. I was so confused! Lol
As everyone else has said, there...

Sadly, I tend to value other people's opinions too highly. If my mother dislikes a name I feel crushed.
My absolute favorite girl name is a name I realize everyone in my family would laugh at....

So glad that you're really looking into little August! I hope this process goes well for you and your family. Adoption is just a wonderful thing.
As for naming, I really think a child of that age...
What does everyone think if my newest combo? Ruby I adore and June is my birth month.
It also sounds so sweet in our southern accent, which is a bonus.
Does the double "u" sound bother...
That's crazy! I live about two hours west of Little Rock and attend ATU. What a small world! I also plan on moving up north, but I have my eye on Eureka Springs. Clinton has too many...
Omg! We must live in the same state because I have also seen little August on our photo listing and thought he sounded so delightful and precious. I hope you are able to adopt in the future!
