My name is Alice. I never used to like my name, but it's growing on me. It sounds pretty. Fortunately, I've always been the only Alice in my class at school, so I've never been called by my initial,...
Congratulations! Elise is a beautiful name and Claire goes well with it. Reminds me of one of my favourite classical songs, 'Fur Elise'. Ellie is adorable. :)

Bavo, Allowin, and Séverine (although we do have Severine). Bavo and Allowin are both Saints names, belonging to the same Saint.
I agree. I was surprised to see that some Saints names weren't...
I would love to learn Spanish too one day. The only other language I can really speak is French, although I did learn some Latin and Mandarin Chinese when I was at primary school, but I've forgotten...
I first thought "this is a Germanic name" when I saw the title of this thread. I wouldn't really consider it as Asian or Arab.
I'm not so keen on names beginning with the letter K, they sound a little more aggressive and tough than names beginning with C or other letters (no offence to anyone with a K name, and apologies if...

Arianne: Like, although I prefer the spelling Ariane.
Aveline (would like to know how you pronounce this): Like. I would pronounce it "a-ve-line", with the 'a' as in 'acrobat', the 've' as in how...

Thanks Mischa for replying. Does anyone else have any thoughts and opinions on Bavo??
I don't think Mary is too plain at all. I've said this on another thread, but I think Mary is one of those names that will always stay classic and timeless. I love the combination of Mary Elizabeth....
It's also one of mine too, and I dislike girls names on boys as well. I don't mind names such as Jo, Dan and Charlie on girls, but as long as they're nicknames, such as Jo for Josephine or Joanna.
I prefer Alexandra. Alexandria reminds me too much of the Egyptian Town, although it sounds quite pretty. Perhaps you might also like Alexandrina?
