I haven't read anything by Brent Weeks. I'm definitely going to check this out!
Have you read the books by Patrick Rothfuss? He's written two books of his three part Kingkiller Chronicle series. The first book in this series is "The Name of the Wind." It's very good. I like...
I wouldn't be surprised if I end up reading all of his books too. I'm very impressed by this book so far. I love grim/gritty fantasy, and I'm very happy to have finally discovered this author.
Right now I'm reading "The Blade Itself" by Joe Abercrombie. This is the first book I've read by this author and I love it so far. I will definitely be reading more of his books.
I'm also working...
It does sound a little like a plant but I still like it. Winter is one of those word names that keeps growing on me. It's a pretty name.

Oh, I love your choices. Henry and Arthur are two of my favorite boy names and I think all of your girl choices are lovely. I think they all go well together. The only one that doesn't fit as well as...
It could be that the tests you are using are not sensitive enough to pick up a + result yet. I've found that the Dollar Store pregnancy tests are actually very good at getting early + results so I...

I prefer Mira. I think it's lovely.
I've had four kids and it was fairly similar for each. My starting point was the same for each pregnancy but I gained different amounts with each. (45, 25, 35, 30 lbs.) I usually lost the most weight...
I breastfed all four of my children and I'm very proud of it. I am nursing after breast surgery and had a lot of obstacles of overcome in order to do it. I nursed all of my children for over a year....
Pearl Carolina is beautiful. I love this combination. I think Diana and Dorothy sound a little drab next to Pearl.

I wouldn't worry about the flow of a nickname with a middle name.
I think Catherine Ann has a beautiful flow but I also like the sound of Catherine Margaret. Like you said, not all of the...
I'm not normally a fan of place or word names but I really like this one. I think it's pretty.

I like Helen Catherine the best. It's very pretty. I also like the suggestion of Helena Catherine. I'd definitely put Helen (in whatever form) up front. I'd love to see Helen used as a first name.
I love it despite its growing popularity. It's such an elegant, beautiful name. I agree with ashthedreamer that it's probably the type of name that will be similar to Sarah. This name seems to span...

I think Rosie is a fantastic and adorable nickname for Rosalind - no matter the pronunciation of Rosalind. What a beautiful name you are considering. I love it.
Too close for siblings but definitely not too close for cousins! They are both very sweet names.
I agree with you on this. My oldest daughter's name was not popular when I picked it, and I got a mix of positive and (some very) negative reactions to it. It has jumped almost 300 places on the SS...

I think it's way too much of a stretch. I would do what others suggested and use one as a middle name. Alice Lucy and Lucy Alice are both adorable combinations. This way you could call her either...
Congratulations! Your daughter has a beautiful name.
Sorry for any repeats. I love Beatrix and I hope you won't let anyone deter you from using this name. They will most likely come around.
It's not something that bothers me. I have the same middle name as my Mother and my siblings and I like having this connection to them. I like it so much that I gave my oldest daughter the same...

I'm guilty of using one of these as a middle name, but I wanted to give my daughter the same middle name as me. Despite their "filler" status, I...

I started posting here when I was pregnant with my third daughter and was thinking about names. I used these forums to discuss names for my fourth daughter as well. I'm not planning on having any...

I think Eloise is pretty, but I prefer Eleanor. I'm not a fan of Louise because it still sounds so very dated to me, and Eloise is only one syllable off. Eleanor is a much more solid, elegant name,...
