I voted for Eleanor because it sounds the best to me and is the best way to get to Nell. Helena would be my second choice. I really wouldn't do Ellen or Helen because of the flow with the last name...

Girl: Winifred (Winnie) Joan or Wren Joyce
Have you considered Britton? That way you still get the same sound and can do the nickname Britt but it looks less like Great Britain.

I voted for Noah Daniel but prefer Leo and Theo. However, I only like Leo and Theo as nicknames. If it was Theodore nn Theo I would have voted for Theodore James.

Actually I don't think Matilda is too much of a stretch to get to Millie. One nickname of Matilda is Tillie and Millie and Tillie are very close. Plus there is the added bonus that Matilda starts...

Another option is you could name the baby Nell or another name you choose and tell your daughter that Eilidh can be her special name for the baby. Kind of like how some people call their sisters...
