I'm pretty sure NB lists Penrose as a male name - would that count?

From your list, I vote Flannery, no contest :) I actually don't mind the name Mary, and I think it fits pretty well for your character - or better still, Molly. Molly really works.
So yeah - I...

@castles - I'd say you were a Valencia or Valeria. Or possibly a Cecilia.
I have longish dark hair, also wavy, pale brown skin, round face. I'm about 5'3. I wear glasses. I have an unfortunately...

I'm working on a story which centers almost entirely around one character, and I was thinking about using her name as the title. I just wasn't sure if her name - Lia - was 'dramatic' enough to pull...

I think a 'P' or 'M' name. Paula, Paloma, Patricia, May, Mabel, Madeleine...or Anna. I don't know why. But Anna keeps coming to mind.

This is something I do in my spare time :) Hope you like!

@renrose LOL xD
One of the main characters in my story was named Rosalia (pronounced Rosa-Leah) nn Lia and it fit her like a glove. Unfortunately, it was a bit too close to another character, Lila, so now I'm going...
That...is a really, really cool name :D Would you mind terribly if I used it in a story?

Tough pick. I think mine would be C -
Those last three are pretty similar, come to think of it :P
Wait so do you want a word name as the full name or nickname? Assuming it was full name - how about Westerly nn West? I've always liked it, but I've already got a character named Waverly, so...
I like Ember better in any case, so that's what I vote. I personally don't see anything wrong with spelling Briar with a 'y'. but when I first saw the title of your thread I assumed it was for a male...

Personally, I liked Kit/Kitty. :) Maybe Catelina? It's the closest version to Kaitlyn I could think of. And of course there's always Kate and Ket. Have you checked out the list of Katherine's...

Poll: Poll: Sister for Isabel?
I'm looking for a character name. She's about 14-15 years old, has straight, longish reddish brown hair, is a bit on the plump side - something she hates - and has brown eyes and light skin. She's...

Zacharias Harlem (nn Zach)
London Red (nn Donny)
Alonzo Hendrix (nn ??)
Joshua Roman (nn Josh or Rome)
Tegan Holiday (nn Holly)

Well, I'm not very good with names from particular times, but based solely on your character I'd go with Hazel :) I also like Alice and Eleanor 'Elle'. And what do you think of Amelia, maybe with nns...

I really like Rainier!

My cats were originally named the tasteful, mostly sophisticated Calico Rosalie and Wanderlust Fiona, but nobody ever calls them anything but Coco and Wifi.
I'd pronounce it A-STORE-ee-yah, 'a' as in 'apple', if that helps. I love it, very formal and classy. And the nickname Story is great!

After NB's big makeover, the lists changed so that we got to see them in pages. So how do you read the 'Coolator for Girls'/Boys' Names' lists work? I tried hitting the 'Show All' button, but no...

Ohmygod, that's beautiful. Congratulations!
I've always loved making up stories, but nothing I ever write feels really serious to me, if that makes any sense. I recently joined Wattpad and published a story over there that I spent ages planing...
