I have a similar issue with my ends-in-son LN, and I tend to avoid -son endings. Although my own FN ends in -on and doesn't sound that bad with my married name, IMO.

I actually think Natalia Caroline or Caroline Natalia would be cute.
I know a little James who goes by Jimmie. I don't care for Jim.
I think of the character from the old tv show A Different World. She was snooty and spoiled so thats the image I get.

My husband loves Sarai. Through both pregnancies (both boys), it's his one and only contribution to the girl name list. I actually like it too (in the middle), but wish he'd come up with some more....
