Oh gosh, me too! I keep print-outs of the top 1000 in the front of one of my binders, just for a quick reference in case I'm not at a computer and I like to keep notes about leaps in popularity and...
Thank you, Pam!
You should totally youtube flats and prefolds - there are videos on there showing how to do it properly, having a visual may help.

It's not that I feel insecure about my OWN circumstances, it just comes off as super judgmental and like everyone should want or achieve the same things before wanting to become mothers. Not everyone...
Oh no! The 12th!?
Gah, I should feel lucky they do it at all, I suppose, lol.

It REALLY, REALLY bugs the crap out of me when people act like it's the "right" attitude to have, seriously.

Thanks! It needs an update, though. >_<

It does for me, but not excessively. It's more important to me that a name be "consistent" than leap 600 spots in one year. I am ok with a name that's below the top 100 as long as it's been in...
Oh my, I LOVE this! I LOVE all of the lovely handmade details and that it's fall - very beautiful!
I freakin love weddings and admit to watching way more than my share of "Say Yes To The...

Thank you, you obviously said this WAY better than I was able to. I feel like I am one of the youngest mothers here on nameberry, so I admit to getting overly touchy when the subject comes up. >_<

Possibly I read it wrong, but it came off to me like you were looking down your nose at people who did not decide to finish getting their education before deciding to have children.

She basically stated that she "gets angry" at younger women who decide to have children young and makes what she deems "bad choices" - yes, it was very judgmental.
We're making the switch right now, actually. I've been a big fan of the flats / prefolds with a cover system because it is economical and I really like that I can sew my own diapers from recycled...

First off - Baby Gaga is not the creme of the crop, I know, I've been a member there for YEARS.
Secondly - who are you to judge and "get angry" at these women for the choices they make concerning...
Will the popularity list be out ON the 5th or after? Does anyone know? I can never remember year to year. >_<
I'm sorry, but I dislike Flynn on a boy and on a girl it's just awful. There are a TON of feminine options that fit your criteria.
It bugs me that people would discourage someone from using a name from another culture simply because "it would look odd on a white person". My step-daughters are Hispanic but definitely favor their...

Not gonna lie, Harold and Janet would be one of the coolest sibsets I've come across for this generation.
As a full name, I think it is doing your daughter a total disservice. As a nickname, fine - I don't like it, but it's not cruel.

It would depend upon the situation, honestly. If we were torn between two names and couldn't decide, I might ask which one he liked more.
I was one of those who didn't think I was in labor and showed up at the hospital at 8cm dilted.
I was just not paying attention to my body and not responding to it the way I probably should have...
I really, really dislike it. It's masculine, trendy and the spelling is too ambiguous. (Is it ry-lyn, rill-an? is it spelled Rylyn, Rilyn, Rylan?) It's just insubstantial and tacky, IMO, not...

I LOVE Drusilla! I think it's beautiful and unusual.
What about an older name with a trendier sound? (Diana nickname Dani is cute and I love Diana, it's very classy and beautiful)
Leah / Lia
Evelyn - has that -lyn ending...
Our other girl has a Mel- name, so it's kind of a moot point, but I do love the name. On one hand, Virelai has a close sound to both Vera and Lorelei, so maybe it wouldn't get TOO mangled?
