I think it's cute! My partners mom's name is Lubika, his name is Lucian, and his brothers name is Lucas! All the lu's haha
You're gonna hate me, my sons name is Fényx haha.
Considering I'm from Ireland, it annoys me when people change the spelling of names that are from here. But I completely understand why anyone who...
My best friends name is Arika!
We used to confuse teachers when we sat beside each other, because my name is Erica ahah.
I'm totally against it. I have around 26 piercings, so people always presume that I'll pierce my baby.
I want him to be able to make those decisions himself, because it's his body.

I absolutely hate it, (don't mean to offend anyone who does it!). Me and my partner couldn't think of a name for our son for two months, so a lot of people suggested naming him after daddy.

I actually really like the name Cora, although, if I used it, I'd spell it like, 'Kora'.
I can't think of sibling names to go with it!

Oh that's awesome! It sure is. We changed the spelling because I hate the fact that 'ph' makes an 'f' sound, and a name we liked, but didn't want to use was 'Nyx', and now we have incorporated that...

It's really hard, we had a girls name picked out all along, (we didn't find out the sex), but we had a little boy instead so that went out the window! haha.
We named him Fényx, which is being...
Change of spelling is a blatant disregard of English? What about the fact that Phoenix was originally spelled 'fenix' in English?
Now you've confused me, why are you rambling on about the 'ph'...

What about the name Erica?
We only named our baby two days ago, he's two months old! haha
Yes, the word Phoenix is Greek, but the spelling of it isn't, which is what I'm getting at. In fact, in Old English it was spelled with an 'fe', 'fenix'. Anyway, Phoenix is 'fenix' in many other...
Okay I really don't understand the replies to this thread.
Everyone is complaining about the spelling of Phoenix, as 'Fenyx', because they would pronounce it 'Fee-nix', yet these are the very same...
