The two you're most unsure of I like best: Ada Winter and Ada Violet. To help me with flow, I gave you the last name Cagney per your description.

Girls are hard! Many first names and all middles names are family names.
It does have a heavy sound. Liking the name is more important, though. What about Neila Paulette Lieber instead?
Vera is fabulous, and the family history is even better. She is far too lovely for a nn. I'd settle for the occasional pet name instead.

Vivian Isabelle by far with boys. I do like family names in middle position though,so also putting in a good word for Charlotte Irene! Alice is a lovely name.
