I think the strangest ones I've heard are two sisters named British & Boston and a little boy named Evil ( if I remember correctly it was pronounce eh-vul)

I think Clementine Elizabeth is very pretty, though like your husband said it would be a scantron nightmare :) other than that though I think it would work. I would suggest something classic but...

Clementine (rhyming w/ whine) is my favorite as for nn my favorites are Emme/Emmie Cleo/Clea and Lemen with Minty as a far fourth
I agree with Ash, I prefer Rowan mainly because it's easier to spell and pronounce. Roan I would pronounce Rone like the color, and Rowen, though it does feel more feminine to me would be destined to...

I think Marie would be refreshing to see as a first name. It's so common as a middle but rarely seen as a first. Maria is beautiful, but to me it feels a little dated.
If you're just using Lily, I prefer the traditional 'Lily' spelling. However as a nickname for Lillian I prefer Lillie
