Adalie isn't made up, it means " god is my refuge" and is of hebrew origin. It's on my top list :]
My name is Chelsey. easy right? Well, in middle school I had an elderly-ish teacher that insisted it was pronounced shay-la-say. I wasn't the only chelsey/a in the class either, there were two...

On EM:Home Edition, Mister. You know, so when he's an adult he'll be Mr.Mister. :/
@ mischa I completely agree. Although there is a lot of government involvement today, sometimes I see a name and think " I can't believe this person was actually ALLOWED to name their child this." ...
At what point do you consider a name to have "gone too far?"
How much freedom should be allowed when naming a child?
What names do you feel should be forbidden or off limits, if any?
What are some...

I love the name Judas, but because people associate the name with a "traitor" it gets looked down upon. It doesn't bother me though, Charles Manson was a horrible person and people continue to use...
I absolutely LOVE Saoirse. I know it will get mispronounced and spelled wrong, but it doesn't change my love for the name. I have a very common name and its been pronounced all kinds of crazy ways...

I feel like if you REALLY REALLY just absolutely LOVE a name it shouldn't matter what things are attached to it or how people view it. (unless of course EVERYONE thinks its horrific) What matters is...

What are some names that you absolutely love and everyone you know hates?
Names that you love and people think you made it up? Ruined from a dumb TV character? a family member? guilty pleasures?...
I love them all. Mostly, Aria. If you're really concerned with it being to close to Asa (which is super cute) then what about Ariana and calling her Aria or Ari for short? I do think that they are a...
Hello Clyde and Claude!

This is my son Devrim.
1. Hazel- I like this one
2. Matilda- I always think of the movie when I hear it and feel sad for someone with the name. i know, silly.

One of my favorite Irish names is Cabhan.
That's exactly what I thought of too! (the church/university). I have never seen Wesley on a girl, and I don't think it should be considered for a girl either. I've know a girl named Wylie though.
Numbers really shouldn't be considered as names. I think that's a little too much, it allows for all kinds of craziness like naming your kid doorknob. However, if you're a celebrity you can name your...

I don't think it will matter. By the time she's old enough (and the kids around her) to know what those letters could stand for, she's not going to care if her things are monogrammed or not. (and...

what about Fiona Adele? I really like Adelaide but that would be quite a long name! Adela is a nice suggestion, that's really cute!
I think that it just sounds plain weird, like maybe it shouldn't be a name? I don't think that "Belle" and "Phoebe" fit together very well.
Devrim- turkish for revolution (and my absolute favorite!) pronounced dev-rim
Cabhan- irish for grassy hill or hollow pronounced cav-an.

I've only known one person named Cormac and his family was Irish. He pronounced it Cor-Mack. I don't really like it, it sounds like it should only be a last name to me.
