I agree with sapphires, they're all usable. My personal favorites from the lists though were Eldrick, Keiran, Asher and Andreas.

Elaine, though, i may be bias, since my middle name is Elaine. Laina is my second choice though.
The first name that popped into my head was Henry. It's kind of old-fashioned, and recognizable, but not completely out there.

I actually have two questions. But first, I'm curious, if anyone has any names that are off limits for characters, or you had a certain rule, or route, when coming up with names.
What about something that means "dark"?
Carey ("dark, black")
Duncan ("dark warrior")
Krishna ("dark, black")
Or maybe something quite the opposite? Since you see a light when you die, maybe...
