All boy - agree with the surnames as male names comment.
Hey hey! Cato is 7 months old, sitting up well and wiggling around a bit but not crawling or pulling himself up just yet. He's a little butterball :) I am still breastfeeding but really struggling...

Hardertobreathe I think you're the first one to go for Atlas Octavian! Octavian is one of my husband's picks.
Another combo I just thought of... Atlas Lucian...

Thanks everyone for your replies. My personal favourites are probably Lyra Clementine and Atlas Calloway, because of the nerdy fact my children's middle names would then start with A, B, and C. (The...

Thanks, I love Lyra Isaline, Lyra Arianne and Atlas Montague. Lyra Arianne also reminded me of the name Ariadne - I like the combo Lyra Ariadne too.

Thanks Sunniva. I've had the same thought about Lyra Blythe having too many ys but I just can't get my head around Blithe spelled like that - I think it's with a y or nothing for me. Pleased you like...

Favourite potential middles for future baby Lyra/Atlas?
I've always seen Clea pronounced as Clay-uh.

Emmeline Ruth is a lot fresher and more interesting than Sophie Madeline imo.
Hmm, looks pretty close between Atticus and Atlas. I worry that Atticus is getting too trendy, although I don't actually know any in real life.
Phoenix is all boy to me. Use Phoebe is you want a girl's name. I like Griffin for a boy. It's not my style but I could get on board with Griffin as a girl's name, but only spelled like that. Subbing...
As above - which of the three do you prefer? We already have a daughter Mila and son Cato.
Gwen, I love Aleph, Eira, Felix and Zephyr (this one sadly vetoed) from your list. We actually almost went with Cato Felix but then we realised that together it sounded too much like Felix the...
Glad you like them, Darcy! Isis would definitely be a contender for us next time.

Cato doesn't cry much at all. We've been lucky with him because Mila cried a lot as a baby. Well, the last couple of days he has been fussy and cried more but he has also just had his posterior...
Eek! Sorry this has taken me so long to reply.
T.k, we are definitely crazy :P I'm not sure we'll have a third either, but it can't hurt to have name ideas ready just in case, right? ;) I'm so...

Oh Frances, that must have been really hard. I know I am going to cry my eyes out when DH finally schedules his vasectomy, whether it is after Cato or after a potential third baby. I know I am...
Thinking ahead as I'm not pregnant. What names would you pair with my children's (full names in sig)? My husband is quite keen on Atlas for a future boy.

Tuitree, congrats! I think there should be some happy middle ground us labouring mothers should be allowed to reach between your 2hr labour and my 25hr one :) Love the name Zari.
Sara, sorry to...

Ah, postpartum bodies are a PITA :P Breastfeeding exclusively does burn calories but it also increased my appetite to match, so the net effect was nil. I didn't lose my baby weight the first time...

Tuitree - I had GBS with my first and had the antibiotics. My waters broke and labour started soon after. I didn't test this time, I decided I would take a risk-based approach and have antibiotics...

Still swooning over Dulcinea, what a fabulous name for a beautiful little baby :)
March 9th, 2014, 08:04 PM
Haha Katie, my husband was up by my head for most of the labour. But once I began actually delivering the baby he couldn't resist and was sort of going back and forth between holding my hands and...

Our lovely little boy Cato Bennett was born on March 2nd at 7.03pm after a very long natural labour. 3 weeks early and a good 7.5 lbs :) My husband wanted a Roman name for our son and we just liked...
