@ drhenry - I agree with you about Ed/Eddie. Neither are my cup of tea (which makes us question using Edwin or Edmund). It was interesting to hear your point of view on the subject. Thank-you for...
@ mermuse - thanks for your comments. We're making some headway at coming to a top 3!
Thank-you, everyone :)

I love just plain Lillian.
Lilith is lovely as well.
Thanks heatherjoy! That is one of the biggest reasons I love Arthur! So much strong and positive imagery.

Since Piper ends with an -er, I'd go with a boy's name that ends differently...
My favourite is August, although I really like Clark, Forest, and Everett as well. All great, strong, distinctive...
Jane Kathryn Iris
Phoebe Elaine Cordelia
Vera Anne Elise
Edwin Keith Robert (or Frederick Keith Robert...I can never decide which I like better!)
Arthur Michael Timothy
Eleanor Ada Wren
Thank-you, everyone, for your responses. We're no closer to a decision (even being able to narrow it down to a Top 3 would be progress!), but it's fantastic to hear all of your opinions.

My top 3:
1. Imogen Abigail
2. Freya Charlotte
3. Hannah Charlotte
Best of luck, and congratulations!
Thank-you for your replies. We so appreciate any and all feedback!
@ ashthedreamer - Freddie is undeniably adorable, and a major draw. I also love the meaning of Frederick - "peaceful ruler"....

I think that Oona is lovely - peaceful, enchanting, mystical.
I quite like the combination of Oona Allegra. (And, I strongly disagree about it sounding "like an exotic dancer's name".)
Thank-you Berries for all of your helpful feedback on our list! While we haven't been able to narrow down our choices any further, we appreciate all of the input! We are hoping to narrow down the...
@ emsky - thanks for your reply. Arthur nn Bear IS definitely awesome, and I love that Arthur is Celtic (much of my background is Celtic).
@ tiannarose - I've never really thought about it that...
Top 3 girls - Jane, Eleanor, Phoebe (all three are possible contenders if I have a girl)
Bottom 3 girls - Nicoletta, Nina, Persephone
Top 3 boys - Simon, Walter, Silas (all have been on my long...
Anyone else have any ideas/suggestions/opinions? We're still soooo stuck!

Elizabeth is a beauty of a name. Classic, regal, feminine, and comes with enough nicknames to suit any sort of girl (my favourites being Betty, Betsy, and Eliza).
My middle name - Elise - is one...

I quite like Merritt! Very pretty and unexpected. I especially like how it has a different ending sound than your other children's names.
Merritt Faye is absolutely gorgeous. My runner-up choice...

I meet lots of Brooklyns at the school where I work. Last year, I had THREE in my class! There are also loads and loads of kids named Alyssa, Liam, Jacob, Jackson/Jaxon/Jaxin, Grace, and Maddy/Maddie.
@ niteowl13 - it's nice to hear some love for Desmond. It isn't generally a popular choice here on NB. I quite like nn Des as well. I love Edwin and Edmund too (obviously). I'm more of an Edwin fan,...
My first thought was Peter Austin.
I see that you have Beckett in your signature, I think that Peter Beckett is a handsome combination.
I also like the sounds of Peter Cameron.
I think that Henrietta is sweet, and I love using family names as middle names. If we have a girl, I will be using my grandmother's name - Ada - as a middle name. I just love that one day, my child...
Thank-you for your replies! We keep checking in, and we have been enjoying reading all of your comments and suggestions. We are not ready to make a decision, but it's very helpful to read your...

It seems like your partner likes common/classic boys names.
Maybe you could convince him an a quirkier/less-common-today classic? I'm a teacher, and I know how difficult it is to find a name that...
Wow, another vote for Ruby Matilda. Gorgeous.
