Well Doris is still pretty. I have no idea why so many people dislike it, honestly. I think it's cute, especially with the nn Dolly.

You might want to consider Dolores instead. It packs more substance than Doris, but still has the same vintage charm.
Such an old lady name to me. But maybe that's what you want.

I quite like it! Possible problem, though: could be misheard for Natalie.
Never read the book myself, but I know the two main characters are named Christian and Anastasia. I've never heard of there being an Elliot in the story. So I'd say no.

I used to know a Kellen back in grade school, and no one ever made fun of him. Don't worry about it; you're probably just over thinking things. Kellen is a wonderful name.

What about Belle? It's southern enough without sounding outrageous. Use it alone, or behind another name (as in Annabelle, Willabelle, etc.)
