Fifaltra – makes me think of farfalle, the bowtie pasta. I'm generally suspicious of 'word names' from foreign languages, even long-dead historical ones like Old High German. On one hand, Fifaltra is...
I'm also reminded of the Beyonce song; admittedly I've had 'baby I can see your halo (halo, halooo...)' stuck in my head once or twice. But those times I remember thinking it had a...
I like the nickname 'Asta'. For me it calls to mind this painting (portrait of Princess Augusta, 1768-1840). :) I don't know... While a grand old name, and gorgeous on paper, I'm afraid it's one I...

I like the suggestion of Lucy Jean = NOT cloying, in the least. ;)
Vinje so intrigues me! I'd pronounce it 'VIN-ya', like 'vineyard' (or the end of Lavinia). Only somewhat complex, and a lovely,...

Me too; I say 'AV-eh-leen,' like Avalon (or avenue, or the French word... sort of), and 'AYV' like Maeve.
I do like Aveline with an 'ah,' as in Ave Maria – i.e. first syllable rhyming with...

Gillian "Jill" (cheating?)
Susanna "Zanna" (I'm thinking...

Aww, glad you think so! :)
I believe Trudeliese was the only smush-name I suggested; to my (limited) knowledge, Elswitha/Elswyth/Alswitha/etc. comes from the Old English (Anglo-Saxon) name...

I just read that the mother of Angelica Kauffman (18c. painter) was named Cleophea; I've also seen Cléophée (=the French equivalent?).
There's also Cleome (a flower), Cleodora (a Greek nymph,...
