I think it's confusing to pronounce. It also seems the strong "mal" and "g" sounds don't combine well. Just my opinion!

Lumi - I like it because it reminds me of the word “illuminate”

Common, but timeless:
I like them both!
However, I think Iris is a name that will last the test of time. Milla is a bit more trendy, but never-the-less a great name.
