Dasher isn't bad! I like that one actually. But do wonder if he would mercilessly called a reindeer haha!

So, I love the nn Dash for a boy. But I am not necessarily crazy about Dashiell. I think a lot of it may be because of the spelling... I feel like nobody would ever guess it! Does anyone have any...
Yeah...you nailed all of my hesitations, too. :/
I've been into Wilder for a long time now. I've posted a couple polls regarding the name. I wanted to see if you all could picture it on a sweet and tame boy or if you only find it...

It's more popular for boys but has been on a steady rise. Whereas for girls, it was nowhere on the map then bam, it's like in the 500's now and rising by the 100's each year.

Please vote on which way you feel this name leans. Thanks!

My picks would be Jonas and Josephine. I also like Eloise too...it's grown on me.
I would not use Clarence as a first name. Especially next to Tennyson. It works as a middle but it is just...
I wouldn't do it...personally. I have known a lot of Quinn's born lately, all girls. But I'm one of those people who doesn't like unisex names used for boys, and I'm picky on them used on girls.
Oh darling Ruby. I've got a real soft spot for that name. And paired with Marlowe...to die for!
I like August a whole lot. The girls I know named Ruby have brothers with more "throwback" names...
I've always liked Sullivan so kudos to you!! I love the nn Sully (Dr. Quinn medicine woman, thank you very much!)
I like the pairing of Sullivan Heath.
I like these suggestions for your naming style.
Of the names you are considering I prefer Henry because I feel like I hear it a little less.

I like Henry Blake the best of the combos. Although I voted for Blake as my favorite stand-alone name. :)
You seem to like a mix of vintage and exotic names, judging from your girls list...so with that in mind, maybe...
Other B names : Brooks, Bennett, Bronson, Boone,...

This isn't our first, no. I just don't like putting too much info on here since it's a public forum. I'm really paranoid and private. :o
But I have to note, Phoebe was one of our tops if this...

Have you had a positive reaction to the name? I don't particularly care how this reflects on my husband and I (for picking the name), I just don't want my kid to have a name people go "huh?!" about....

How wonderful to hear from a mother of a child carrying the name! I agree with all you said. I still feel turned off by the girls name part but you know I think you are right on the "Rivers" plural...

I'm afraid of this. I checked the SSA baby names list and it has been on a steady and insignificant rise for males for years but for females it was nowhere on the map until recently and has jumped...

That's the exact name choice I have as one of my favorites! I really like the combination of those 2 names together. And I also like so many of the names in your signature...including your son's...

What do you think about the popularity of River for girls being so exponentially on the rise?
PS - I have a lot of the same name favorites as you do in your signature!

Aww I loved your bottom description. Made me smile. As for Shepherd, we picked it due to religious connotations ;) and you know what else is strange? Even though it's not in the top 1000 and River...
It's sort of literal but I also like Isles & Isla after the word Island. :)

I would appreciate your vote!
I want our boy to have a name that is eclectic and special in meaning.
Please feel free to list out any impressions on the names as well. I like to know which...
I like it! I heavily prefer it on a girl! As "indie" seems very feminine in sound to me.
Since it is a wildcard name, I would pair it with something more subtle and familiar...something like...
