Thank you, all!
Josephine, Genevieve, Rosemarie, and Augustin were excited to welcome their new baby sister, Clementine Beatrice, into the family on Sunday.
"Lemon" is doted on by her big sisters and watched...
Florence. Its a bit of a stretch, but we are considering Rory as a nn for Corinne/Corrine.

Thank you for all the replies! I love that people picked up on the pattern with the girls' names (though it was coincidental, as the girls have all been named for family members). The lists provided...

I am expecting baby #5 (girl #4) in November. Finding a name that "fits" has been particularly difficult this time around.
Which would you choose? Siblings are Augustin, Josephine, Rosemarie, and...
Thanks so much, everyone!
Our older children have names with relatively straight forward pronunciations (Josephine, Genevieve, Rosemarie, and Augustin). The list for this baby has several names...
Our list of front runners includes several names where I worry that pronunciation will be an issue. Out of curiosity, how do you pronounce:
Do you think Valentine is wearable for a girl in the US? If not for a girl, is Valentine/Valentin wearable for a boy?
Does your opinion of the name change if the baby was conceived around...
What would you name Josephine (Josie), Genevieve (Neve), Rosemarie (Romy), and Augustin's (Gus) baby brother or sister? I have short lists, but would love to hear what others come up with. Thanks!

I kept my surname when I married my husband. My family surname largely ends with me as neither my father, nor his brother had any male children. I truly love my last name and its ties to my ancestry....
My four-year old is Genevieve nns Neve (Nehv) and Nevie ( Nehv EE). We had similar reservations about the intuitive nns and thankfully have never had a problem. I think she has been called Genny once...
nyx~ Yes, Gus is his nickname. The girls all have nicknames too. Josephine goes by Josie and Genevieve goes by Neve or Nevie about half the time. Rosemarie answers to Romy almost exclusively at the...
Augustin Alexander was born early this morning. Gus joins big sisters: Josephine, Genevieve, & Rosemarie. Thanks to all the berries for helping us find a name we love for our little boy.
Thanks. I like Andreas, Anson, Anton, Ansel, and Anthony. I like the palindrome suggestion but it is a bit too abstract for me. I would like for my immediate family to "get" the connection.
Any suggestions of masculine names that could honor an "Anna"? I am due with a little boy this month and would like to honor my Aunt Anna if he is born on her birthday. I have considered Andrew and...

I have a daughter named Genevieve and her little brother due in January will be Augustin. Theodore, Sebastien, and Callum were on our list, too. Here are some other suggestions:

Thanks, everyone. You have helped allay some concerns. This is the name we are using for our little boy due next month, but I was concerned that we might get more "AWE guh stin" vs. "Au GUS tin"

How do you pronounce the name "Augustin" and which country/state (if you are in the US) are you from? Thanks so much!

Thanks. I am leaning towards Augustus due to the history but at times find myself liking Augustin/Augusten more with our older daughters' names: Josephine, Genevieve, and Rosemarie. I worry about the...

Our first baby boy is due in January. Which formal name for "Gus" do you prefer? Thanks

I prefer the French spelling and would likely use it especially since it makes the nickname Eben a bit more intuitive. Being in the US, I know the -an spelling is most common and so it would...

Good. Glad the poll worked.
Edward and Rudolph are both family names. I agree with the Rudolph sentiment but I have always used the full name of the honored family member and so I won't change...

Thank you. I would love to take all the credit for my girls' names but they are all family names. Is the poll there now? I can see it, but this is the first poll I am posting so it is possible I...

Which name sounds best with big sisters: Josephine (Josie), Genevieve (Neve), and Rosemarie (Romy)? Thanks so much!

Thanks for the responses. Many of you echoed some of our concerns. I didn't want to color people's initial opinions but we had considered things like the Mitt association, what rhymes with Mitch, how...
