It's official - we're having a boy and that will make our family an even 2 and 2.
All the girls in our family have vowel names and so far my husband and son both have T names. We didn't actually...
Thank you for all the input everyone!!
Here's our slughtly more whittled down list as it stands...

Cool! Here's our list as it stands right now - I haven't been on here for a while so I'll have to go through all the newer suggestions with my hubby and see if there's any to add to the list!...

Arah is with an AIR sound like Sarah. I like a lot of the names mentioned here! I'll add a bunch of the names from our lists (some are mine, some are my hubby's) right now to see what you all think...

Thanks! Hubby loves Joshua as well (though I think it's just too popular) and I have always loved Elijah, though we thought the nickname Eli would be too close to Eliana's nickname (Ellie)

I did consider Lenore but I think without the vowel sound either at the beginning or the end it loses the feminine quality that goes best with Eliana and Aaralyn. Eleanor/Ilanor sound prettier to me,...

Trying to narrow down the list... I've cut out a few but I'm not as decisive as I want to be here! I keep adding more, too... lol
*Eleanor (pronounced ella-nore - nickname Nora)
* * * * * * *...

Yeah, I've thought of Avery but I'm a big stickler for meaning and I'm not a huge fan of the whole elf/magic reference when it comes to a name - go figure because I am a huge LOTR fan and I love all...

lol so there you go... whether people think of the association to the color or to the literal ivory of elephant tusks, the kid would be screwed! I'll scratch it and blame the dream rather than my own...

Yeah... okay, I think Ivory is probably a little too controversial to be used... i was thinking more of the color but I don't want the association with dead elephants... Scratch! Moving on...

Some interesting and very thoughtful ideas. Thank you all!
March 6th, 2013, 11:43 AM
I was considering the idea of using Ivy as a NN for Ivory... maybe?
March 6th, 2013, 11:41 AM
I have tons of ideas (too many actually) but I'm curious to see what you'd choose.
Our kids are Eliana Joy (Ellie/Elle), Timothy Patrick, and Aaralyn Rayne (Arah)
Finish the sibset for baby #4!...

I also like Olivia (Liv)

I like your boys' names a lot. I'm a fan of vowel names also... I can imagine Alana, Ezra and Isaiah.
(We have an Eliana (Elle) and an Aaralyn (Arah) and we considered using Isaac, Eli, Elijah,...

I just had a dream last night that I had a little girl named Ivory. We have three kids right now and are expecting #4 (unsure of gender yet). We're all very fair with blonde hair, pale skin, blue...

Isaac is on our boys' name list - both hubby and I love it. Thanks for the suggestion of Lucy as well. I agree that Arella sounds similar to Aaralyn. I hadn't heard that one before! Great taste in...
Wow, I was out of the loop with the name Cohen - I guess I don't know my name history as well as most... I've heard it used once before and thought it was cute, and when I did a quick search and saw...
oooh me too. Convincing my slightly more name-conservative husband that using the first name Sebastian is not a cruel thing to do to our child is the issue! He wanted 'Luke' at first... which is a...
I'm having trouble coming up with a name for baby #4 that hubby and I both like. I've already posted in the girls' forum because we aren't sure yet whether we are having a girl or boy and having...
I love your choices. I have several of them on my list too - including Bethany, Eleanor (nickname Nora), Lillian and Vivian/Vivienne. All classy names that aren't too odd but also are not overused. I...

Thanks! Aurelia is one I hadn't thought of.
Stripedsocks I know that Isabella and Elisabeth are very similar with almost exactly the same meaning (consecrated to God/My God is a vow... I've also...

We are expecting baby #4 and trying to decide on a name - so far just a ton of ideas but nothing concrete. We have an Eliana (Ellie/Elle), Timothy (we don't shorten it) and Aaralyn (Arah). We like...

Thanks. I love Nora/Norah but I wasn't sure about using it on it's own rather than as a nickname for Eleanor/Eleanora, especially since our other three children have long (3 syllable) names and the...
