I'd like to second Max. It's my brother's name, and he always makes me laugh.

I'm not in a "demanding" or even an "in-person" graduate program, but I have done some coursework during pregnancy (undergraduate; biochemistry) and my kids' early childhoods (distance...
@lawsonhaley, that's funny. I remember a similar incident with my younger brother doing the same thing, and my mom scooped it out of the bathtub with the little net we used for our goldfish tank.

I don't think that's happened to me; I've had anemia but haven't been sent to a hematologist.... but I'm sorry you're going through that. Sounds like no fun.

Ok, thanks, everyone! Seems like I am wrong; maybe they aren't too close. How exciting that we both like a name. Hope we'll get to use it someday.

My pregnancies have gotten progressively harder. #1--nausea but no vomiting; #2, I only barfed once; #3, much sicker and couldn't eat much besides hash browns and raw potato. With #4, the...

@nooshi, Joe says, "No way!" to Lucia, unfortunately. I'm not too into Aubrey, myself, because it seems more masculine to me.
Thanks, though. :)
Wait, just curious about a previous poster's comment; how do we know Nameberry's goal is to get people to like certain names?
I think Nameberry seems fairly committed to being faithful to...

Sending positive energy your way, good lady.
Call her bluff! She'll come.
When Elise was a newborn (or possibly just before she was born; I can't even remember exactly when this happened) James and Will were down for their naps and I tried to close my eyes for a few...
My Medela manual pump was not nearly as effective as my Medela double electric. I found it much more relaxing (if pumping can ever be described as relaxing) and pumped much more milk when I let the...
I like Fiona the best. Would say Julianna/Juliana but I think most people will say "Julie-AHna."
I like Jason.

Not expecting, just settling a bet with my husband.
We both like Lucy (not so much Lucille or Lucilla) for a hypothetical future daughter. But I think it's too close to our daughter's name...
My favorites from your lists are Henry and Marjorie. Those are lovely, especially being family names. Go with one of those!

I absolutely love Margaret and think it goes well with your daughter's name. Mabel seems trendy to me, while Margaret is a beautiful classic.
Marguerite is a gorgeous option, too.
I think Faye Eleanor is lovely. I like Faye better than Fay.
I'm sad that Br- names (esp. Bridget) are out for us.

James and Will are 13.5 months apart, then Elise is 17 months after Will. Zach is 6.5 years after Elise.
13 months apart is pretty exhausting, but they do have an especially close bond. 6.5 to 9...

Zach has taught me that it's possible for us to have a laid-back, happy baby (our first three were fairly grumpy and high-maintenance, especially the first two). He's also re-emphasized the idea...
These are the best parenting books I've read in my almost ten years as a parent:
Positive Discipline by Jane Nelson;
How to Talk so Kids Will Listen and Listen So Kids Will Talk by Faber & Mazlish;...

Oh, and I forgot: Marie.

I think my new favorite, if you have a 3rd girl, is Eleni. Pretty.
Also, sorry about the Blue Ivy thing! I'd be annoyed if somebody mentioned that, too! It totally bugged me when she named her...

Tabitha, Isabel, Elena, Elise (of course), Camille, Belle, Aurora, Kate, Alison.
At the moment, can't really think of any boy names I've always been into.
When I was about five I tried to get my...
