Hi, I like Griffin! Some people only love really, really traditional names, like William, John, Matthew, etc. You will never please everyone. My mom was very vocal about saying she didn't like...
Poll: Final cut...
Hi, I've asked for advice a couple times, and I think my husband & I have narrowed down our choices. Background info: siblings for this new baby are Connor Alexander, Cameron Aidan, Hannah Rose,...

From your list, I like Harbor and Sailor. Also, what about Bay? I read a novel where that was a little girl's name. She was a sweet girl ;)

My name is Tiffany Anne. I don't care for my name much. It's not that i hate it, i just don't think it suits me. When I hear "Tiffany", I think of a pampered white poodle. I'm very down-to-earth....

Just within a day or two, a fellow nameberry mentioned the name of a website where you can type in names you like, and it will generate a list of names similar in style. Does anyone happen to...

I agree with several previous posts...it can be quite common to call a child by his/her middle name. I know of many who go by their middle names. If this causes friction between you and your...

I know a lovely baby named Taryn/Tarin, and her parents call her "Rin/Ryn" (not sure on spellings...would be personal preference). It's pretty and unique. Just a suggestion....
I like Evie and Libby. I'm biased with Evie though. It's what we call our daughter, Evangeline :) Evie and Avi could be so close you'd regularly say the wrong name for the wrong child. Libby has...

I don't like the name Harper. Sounds like a boy, and reminds me of the name Harpo from The Color Purple. (like Faith though)
Adelaide Grace: an old fashioned name. I see her as sweet and...

How about modifying the names you love, just a wee bit?
Instead of Juliet, how about Julianna?
Instead of Lily, how about Lillian and use Lily as a nickname. When she's older she'll have a more...
I love Lucienne! I, too, was wondering how the general population would pronounce it.....would they pronounce it correctly or butcher it?! :)
I like Corinne, and Blade offered the...
Blade: Just had to comment that your advice on flow and syllables is always right on. I love how you makes sense of what to most are just vague feelings about a name. Would love to get your take on...
I LOVE Lucienne, and would pronounce it as others mentioned above. Oh yes, I do love this name, too. Where did you first hear of it?

Hi, we are kindred spirits! I also love Irish names, though I find more boys' names to my liking than girls, here in the US. My grandmother was born in Belfast, Ireland. Her name was Norah. I...

I like Lucienne, but my husband isn't convinced. Still, there's time to let him mull it over and try it on for size. We like Holland. He is swaying more toward Corinne lately, but both are still...

I like Colette. My husband's response was "That's pretty". Hmmm....perhaps we have another to mull over :) Many thanks :)

I like both of those names (Genevieve & Vivienne), but my husband isn't convinced. You're right though....they seem to suit the name Evangeline quite well :)

My youngest daughter is 18 months old, and her name is Evangeline (nn: Evie). I absolutely adore her name, and it makes me happy each time I say it or hear it. I'm 27 weeks pregnant with a baby...
