Alvilda....the Scandinavian princess turned pirate!
Alvilda was betrothed to marry a prince and instead she ran away and became a pirate. So the prince went pirate hunting. His men stormed her ship and when he found her , he propsed. She accepted and became the queen of Denmark. She was the first known female pirate. The story is from the mid 1400s ;)

Some of these names are pretty popular in Romania, but I have never seen them on NB.
