Luther for a girl?
My DH, and I have trouble finding Girl's names we both like..
We love Luther, for a boy...
But are now thinking it is very usable for a girl?
What do you think?
Names we both kind of like...or one of us loves and other detests...
Not suitable for a girl. At all.
Nothing feminine about it.
It does not suit a girl at all. The er ending makes it very masculine. How about Lucia ( prn loo-sha)?
Luther is a man, not a little girl. Here are some you might like: Keziah, Lourdes, Luciana, Lucrece, Luna, Lauren, Lucinda, Madeleine, Allegra.
Luther is a harsh sounding male name. I would not want it for my name as a female.
Ideas from your list:
Luther is a very bad choice for a girl. I love love love Mabel.

I would never use this name for a girl.
From your list I like...
Logan is a boy's name. Reese in my eyes only works as a middle name. I prefer Jemima too Jemimah however the racist slur associated with this name is a turn off. EttaMae joint together as one name is strange Etta Mae looks better but I prefer Etta with a longer middle name for example Etta Josephine. Emmelyn sounds sweet but prefer Emmeline.
I really adore the combination Aria Reese : )
I don't like Luther for a girl at all. It's so masculine. Maybe something girly with the Lu sound?
Lunshea -- loon-shay
Luther is a male name. Consider Lucy, Lucia, Louise, Louisa, Lucinda, or Lucille instead.
I don't like it on a girl. Love it on a boy though!
From your girls list I like Etta Mae (separate works better!) and Mabel the best.
If you are planning to use Luther for a future son I see a sister for him named Adelaide.
Adelaide and Luther would be lovely.
Or even Scarlett Mabel/ Henrietta Mabel/ Harriet Mabel nn Etta Mae for a sister.
...In fact, a 'to die for' sibset would be Luther Benjamin, Henrietta Mabel and Adelaide Kate. *swoon*
