I'm trying to think of names which don't evoke an image of one specific region— names which are equally common in many parts of the world, but outside the US top 100. Variations of spellings are okay, as long as the name doesn't fundamentally change from language to language. For example, Bruno, Felix, and Raphael are all quite popular in Europe and South America, but not so much in the US or UK. However, they wouldn't feel unusual or foreign on an American or British kid. For girls, Laura and Lena fit the bill. I've been combing through international top 100s to flush out the list, but turn to you for more ideas.
