How to get to Lila
Lila is a family name and while I think it works on its own, I was wondering if anyone had suggestions of longer names to get to Lila. Other than Delilah :)
(Posting from phone, sorry for errors)
I've known two Carolines who go by Lila, although I think it's a bit of a stretch.
Just my two cents, but I think Lila is so lovely on its own :)
That's interesting, Elisabeth Rae! I know soooo many baby Carolines right now in our area though :) and I do agree that it's quite a stretch :)
I don't see why Lillian couldn't be a Lila. If it can get Lily it can certainly get Lila. Also, Elizabeth is a stretch but it could work.
My pup's name is Lillian/Lily but that's a good suggestion! :)
Halila -- rightful wife
Jalila -- great, revered
Kelila -- crown ,laurel
Lilavati -- god's will
Lilen -- shrub
Lilette -- resembling a budding lily
Lilis -- of the night
Lilith -- of the night
Lilvina -- friend of the iris
Malila -- salmon going fast up a rippling spring
Palila -- bird
Pililani -- close to heaven
I love Lila too, but it doesn't work with my last name, so I've been thinking of maybe using Elizabeth and calling the kid Lila. Liliana would be pretty, too.
I was just looking at the SSA list and thought maybe Galilea for you guys. Never heard it before, but that's pretty.
