I need another name for this character of mine. Originally I chose Persimmon but know I'm thinking that it doesn't really match the other names I've chosen for other characters. I've been thinking of Blythe, it really kinda goes with the theme I've chosen for other names which is Nature related and names like Hazel, Ivy, Fern (Those are all names my characters have). Help!!!
Ivy and Hazel are alright. Ferns's too tied with "Charlotte's Web".
you can always do Sky, and I like the name Fern. It's used in the PBS Kids TV show Arthur and E. B. White's novel Charlotte's Web.
Sky isn't really much my style but thanks for the suggestion!
Well, unless there's some sort of specific reason to use all natural names, I'd stay away from that, particularly if it's realistic fiction. If you want a floral/natural/botanical name reminiscent of Blythe, try Briar, Bryony, Bramble, Basil/Basilia, Bluebell, Begonia, Buttercup, Blossom, Bay, Beech, Berry, Blathnaid or Blodwen.
Names similar to Blythe that aren't botanical:
Agatha nn Aggie
Agnes nn Ness, Aggie
Mathilde nn Millie
Caroline nn Caro
Clothilde nn Coco
Ginevra nn Ginny
Philippa nn Pippa
@bibliophile definitely liking Hollis, Astrid, Agnes and Edith they stood out to me a lot. In my story there are also names like Selene, Quinn, and Margo so they're not all nature type names. Thanks for the mouthful of names too!
I want to thank everyone who commented and gave me great suggestions. I've chosen the name Blythe. I really liked all the names that were suggested but I just couldn't stop thinking of Blythe.
