Gerard - don't love the sound or the nickname options of Ger/Gerry?
Lewis - don't like this spelling
Russell - have never really liked this name. it also feels a bit dated to me. knew a few Russell's growing up and can't say I was a fan of any of them
Rupert - while Stewie's teddy bear on Family Guy has given me a new appreciation for this name, it still feels super nerdy to me.
Peter - never liked the sound. Makes me think 'peter out'. I do have several friends named Peter though who are great guys!
Samuel and Benjamin are personal favorites, and I couldn't not include them in my top five. Edmund, Gerard, and Tobias are strong, dashing, underused names that I would love to hear more often.
Bertram - just sounds unbearably dorky to me
Leopold - incredibly snooty; I don't understand why this is a berry favorite at all
Malcolm - unattractive and stuffy; I just imagine a greasy old man
Oliver - I've never understood why this name appeals
William - I normally don't hate on classic/popular names, but I have a passionate dislike of William. I know so many Williams and Wills and Bills and Billys that I want to scream whenever I see/hear this name.
Benjamin - my all time favorite
Eli - simple and great
Oliver - getting popular but for good reason, it's a lovely name
Peter - simple and pleasant. I've never met anyone under 25 with this name, and I'd like to
Henry/William - I simply can't choose between them, I like them both for such different reasons, and negatives seem to be equal as well
Jago - least favorite
Gerard - bleh
Adrian - nms
Hamish - sorry, too unfamiliar for me to like
Lewis - meh
Bram- I like the nickname better than Bertram, though Bertram isn't bad
Damon- always has an evil sound to me
Jago- reminds me of the villian Iago from Othello
Hamish- reminds me of haggis every time I see it and I'm not sure why
Russell- always seemed dorky to me
Tobias- a friend of mine had a dog named this nn Toby. Ruined for me personally as a human name, but that's just my reason
