We can't agree - help!
Our 2nd daughter is due soon and we're really struggling to agree on names...
He likes- Jemima
I like - Isadora & Primrose
The only names we sort of both like are Florence & Sadie.
I could really do with a few more names to add to our shortlist, I'm still hoping to find a name I love rather than a compromise.
We live in the UK, I like pretty, classic names - nothing with creative spellings, no harsh sounds and no lyn/ley endings. Current children are Madeleine, Gabriel & Nathaniel.
Isadora Primrose is amazing! I hope you use that combo with nn Sadie... Im a little biased as Isadora is one if my top choices for a second daughter (we already have a Matilda!) I like Primrose but more so in the middle (I find the 'prim' part a little restrictive upfront if that makes sense? I don't think it's a name that any kind of girl could make her own where's Isadora has more versatility especially with nn options Dora, Isa, Izzy, zora, zadie etc.!
Isadora and Florence both go beautifully with your other children's names.
I like Isadora Florence nn Sadie (like someone above suggested).
Otherwise Nymbler suggests:
Hannah, Ava, Lucy, Elizabeth, Lena, Amelia, Charlotte, Reva, Violet, Genevieve, Tabitha, Jacqueline, Michaela, Salome, Aubrey, Caroline, Emma, Susannah
I love Isadora!!!! Not so much Primrose (unless it was a middle name option). Detest Jemima. Tell him, it reminds me too much of maple syrup.
But, I also think Sadie is really sweet.
Other possible ideas....
Thanks all, I adore the combination Isadora Primrose, unfortunately my husband hates it as much as I love it. He likes Jemima because it reminds him of a girl he had a crush on when he was 15 (needless to say that put me right off!)
For me, Isadora is the right combination of sweet and girly but not too frilly, with awesome nickname potential.
I like Florence, but it's getting more popular now and Sadie is lovely, but it's a nickname and I'd prefer something longer.
Emily & Matilda I like, but their popularity puts me off. Tabitha, Seraphina, Ophelia etc have all been on my list at some point but got crossed off for some reason or another.
I like Mallory, but H doesn't and the unfortunate meaning puts me off somewhat!
I like Florence Isadora as a combo :)
Other names you could consider: Charlotte, Lilith, Emmeline & Esther.
