I am doing work experience in my local primary school and I was just wondering what you think of the names of the children in the nursery there.
Mackenzie (Kenzie) - boy
Eilidh (Ay-lee, like Kayleigh without the K)
Thanks in advance. You don't have to comment on each name, just say which you like you like and which you aren't so keen on.
Surprised to see two children named very similar, yet they have truly unique name. Maybe parents know each other or have something else in common. Ruaraidh (Roo-ree) and Ruairidh (Roo-ree) are definitely almost same names.
My favorites are Ailsa and Margaret. Are you in Ireland or something?
Those are some pretty interesting names! I particularly like: Margaret and Matilda.
I know of at least three boys under ten named Ruaraidh, it's well known in Scotland. They are all friends of friends, although I've met one and we live in Canada.
Ruaraidh and its variations are quite popular in Scotland, I probably know about 15. Tarynkay I'm from Scotland, we have quite similar names to the Irish, and there are quite a few children and the primary and high school with Irish names like Niamh, Sean, Aoife and Patrick. Thanks for the feedback everyone.
I love Alasdair! I also quite like Margaret and Ailsa.
Oh, I love seeing Mackenzie used for a boy! I wish I know more male Kenzies. I also like Oliver, Alistair, Callum and Ailsa.
