rollo's cancer journey
Forty days ago I was given the diagnosis that I probably had lymphoma or breast cancer and as an outside chance a benign tumour.
It has been a long wait, lots of doctors have been involved as my case was so unusual, but now the diagnosis is in and I do not have cancer.
The huge unseen, unfelt tumour in my chest has been diagnosed as benign!
Since a recent biopsy I have developed pleurisy a very painful condition, and I am on on 24 hour pain killers.
I have been in hospital for days for endless tests.
I would like to thank all nameberries who have supported me through this difficult time, your prayers, positive thoughts and practical help have been SO very much appreciated.
Soon I will have open chest surgery to remove the tumour therefore I will not be around for a while but will be thinking of you.
Best of luck to you Rollo! Sending you my prayers and a full recovery!
Hi Rollo, I'm sorry to hear about your health problems. I'm relieved that it's not cancer. I know how excruciating it can be emotionally as you waited for tests to come in. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Keep strong and let us know how you are doing when you're able to do so.
Wow I'm so glad it was benign! What a relief that part must be. I'm sorry to hear that you're in pain despite the good news. Here's to a speedy recovery for you. I will say a Misheberach for you, it's the Jewish prayer for physical cure, restoration, and strength of body and soul.
Best wishes rollo, will be praying hard for you x
Pleurisy makes so much more sense! It is painful but ultimately benign and ultimately goes away.
Good luck with the thymectomy! Thinking of you.
Hi Rollo. I don't know if we've "interacted" here on nameberry, but I always appreciate your contributions to threads. I'm very glad to hear you don't have cancer and will keep your recovery in my thoughts and prayers.
You're in my thoughts and prayers, Rollo. Just prayed for you earlier today! So glad to hear it is benign. I hope your recovery is an easy one.
I have lurked on nameberry far more than I have participated, but I have read your posts. I appreciate your wisdom and the naming advice that you give. I am very glad to hear that your cancer scare turned out to be benign. I hope you recover quickly and feel better soon!
What great news! Thank goodness for benign tumors! Will be thinking of you still.
