Planning for baby #4
We're not expecting yet, our youngest is still bf, but I've had baby fever and have been looking at names a lot lately.:D
Our kids names are in my siggy and their middle names are: Julian, London, and Kingsley.
My husband is dead set on Atlas for a boy, he doesn't care much about the middle name. But I still want to have backup choices.
Atlas Hawthorne, Atlas Theodore, Atlas Evander
Other first name contenders: Kasper, Maxence, Maxfield, Ignatius.
-- Thaxton, Gulliver, Sirius, Benedict, Ebenezer, Kipling, Hawthorne, Caulder, Calix, Harrington, Digby, Oslo, Roscoe, Hutchings, Merritt.
Middle names: Giovanni, Blu, Eleazer, Jude, Henry, Gray, Cedric, Augustus, Benedict, Evander, Gatsby, Sinclair, Otto, Felix, Ignatius, Crew, Hugo, Camden, Edwin, Simon, Edison, Winston, Octavian, Flynn, Duncan, Alaric, Merlin, Ford, Aurelius, Augustus, Arthur, Fletcher, Edmund, Edgar, North, Barnaby...
I LOVE Rigsby but we have an R surname. :(
Please make other suggestions or combo suggestions! First names cannot be in the top 1000.
what about Atlas Rigsby hawthorn /Theodore or evander as it goes with all other middles you have suggested.. xx
Super awesome list! My favorites from your first name contenders would be:
Kasper (this is my favorite of the bunch, like it a lot--- or any of the other variations, such as Casper, Jasper)(Casimir is another in a similar sounding vein you might like)
Ignatius (I like it a lot, but it does have a bit of a heavy feel to it that might make it hard to carry)
Calix (feels both unique and historic, but with a friendly edge to it, and the friendly nn Cal)
Roscoe (feels real friendly too)
The two 'Max' names aren't bad, just not my preference. I don't really like any of the Max names too much. Thaxton, Harrington, Hutchings all feel a bit too much like names of department stores or something to my ear, and generally don't like them much as name options. Gulliver seems too connected to his travels to my ear, and sounds a bit too similar to gullible too. I like the name Atlas, in theory, but it does feel a little bit like naming a kid Zeus or something, feels really heavy to carry (like carrying the world on his shoulders or something). I like all the other options, just not quite as much as the four I mentioned.
Some of your MN options I like a lot a lot, and think lots of them would actually make really great first names too. Evander is on my own top 4 list, so that'd probably be my favorite of all. Some of my other favorites include:
Merlin (but I like Emrys a lot more-- another of my top 4 choices)
I do love Atlas Rigsby!
Any other input? Or suggestions that aren't already on my list?
We have similar tastes! Hugo, Barnaby, Arthur, Maxence, Caspar, and Atlas are all on my list!
I prefer Atlas as a middle name, but of your Atlas combos I like Atlas Evander.
From your fn options I like:
Merit (spelt like this)
Kasper - I prefer it spelt Caspar, though.
I also think a lot of your middle options would be great fns. My favourites are:
Lucian or Lucien
Finley nn: Finn
I like Atlas Edmund best. I love Atlas combined with a classic name.
Bishop (love nickname Shep with this)
Crusoe (I LOVE this and as a way to get to nickname Crue or Crew, since I love that name but it feels a bit incomplete)
Oh I LOVE Crusoe!
And your sons name is to die for!
Thank you! We mostly call him Atlas :)
