Lets, see, when I was a teenager, I wanted to be married by 21 or 22 like my parents. Got married at 26. Later than planned but better late than never. When we started TTC after I turned 28, I was "planning/hoping" to have a kid before my 29th b-day. Life never goes as planned or as you expect. Now I'm lucky to get in the first kid in at my 30th b-day. I really want 4 biological kids, hopefully I won't be too old before that becomes a reality. Life lesson: you can't really plan, you just have to go with the flow.
PS I think it was a good idea for me to have married later, I got a lot of life experience under my belt did stuff I couldn't have done if I was married or had kids. I understand what it feels like to be under that pressure though, I put myself under a lot. I also have had a lot of time to educate myself on parenting and baby care, it's nice to feel totally prepared.
I'm 29 and got married last year when I was 28. We've just started trying for our first, which will (hopefully) be born around my 30th birthday.
I think you need to go with the flow in life. A lot of teenage girls and girls in their early 20s want to get married before 30, but sometimes life has other plans. In my dream world, I would have gotten married earlier, but, this way, I travelled and had some experience living my own life before getting married and having children.
I'm 27 and pregnant with my first.
I got married very young (22) but chose to hold off on kids for a few years.
This is a bit awkward for me considering I'm the youngest by far in this forum.
I'm 13, 14 in June.
Let me stress that the reason I am on here is for name ideas for stories that I write, and i just like the sound of names and their meaning in general.
I am NOT planning to get pregnant for a LONG LONG time!!!
Trust me, I adopted and my birth mother was likely a pregnant teen.
@yolo199 Nope, I'm younger than you! I just turned 13 in December! :)
I'm 22, 23 in October, and my daughter will be 2 in June. I'm also expecting another, who's due in August. My first born wasn't planned at all, but now, I couldn't imagine what it'd be like without our little Lissie. My second, was half planned. We weren't overly bothered if we had another right away, but we definitely wanted another, so we just stopped using protection, and if it happened, it happened, if after a while, nothing happened, we'd have started planning things. We're ecstatic for our 2nd little one, and we're planning on more in the future. We're getting married in a year, (May 2014) so after that, we'll have more.
We've settled on 4 kids, but, we wouldn't(or at least, I wouldn't) be bothered if we ended up having 6. 6 is definitely my cutoff though, I doubt I'd be able to handle more than that!
I'm 13, so obviously I'm not going to have kids for a while. I don't want kids right now, either. I want to get married in my early-mid twenties, and then have kids. I want maybe 3 or 4. I want twins, but planning like that is a little extreme. lol. I don't want to be too old, because my best friend's mom is 53, and that just doesn't work IMO, especially since she's almost as old as my grandmother. No offense to anybody. Like what yolo199 said, I'm just here because I like names, and I like seeing what names are out there. I like how names sound. I don't really pay much attention to the meanings, though...
I am 21, me and my boyfriend have been together for almost 6 years, we met when we 15 :)
We plan on getting our own home and getting married and having children after I graduate next year. I want a least four children but I think he only wants two so we will need to wait and see.
I'm 26 1/2. I'd love to be married and have kids one day but realistically I don't think it'll ever happen.
