I really like your naming style and maybe to get your husband to use the name, you could let him pick the middle name. Othe suggestions I have are:
I keep coming back to these twins I knew growing up; Asher and Gawain ( he said it Guh-why-in) and little bro Rowan. Such an awesome sibset for the 70s! Maybe too boy?
I also love Mairéad with Rowan, but its not everyone's favorite name.
