Sawyer & Wren
My husband was glancing at my girls list today, as he does a lot (I think he is a name nerd in denial) and he said something like "Sawyer and Wren are the only two I would actually use for a baby, the others are kinda Ehh." So now I'm reevaluating my whole list and considering removing all but these 2. What's the point of having them on my list if he would never even consider them? I love both of them too but I want more than 2 names on my list!
Sawyer - I've loved this name almost as long as Rowan, I like the spirited and adventurous feel it has, I feel like it "fits" with Rowan.
Wren - love the sound and imagery, it has some personal meaning to me, but I've had people tell me it sounds too close to Rowan and it's extremely hard to pair with middle names being one syllable.
Does anyone have any new suggestions I could put on my list? I like unisex/boyish names, unusual girls names that generally don't end with an -a, and word names. Nature connections would be a plus.
As a fellow mother to a little girl named Rowan, I would definitely NOT name the next girl Wren. That is way too close in my opinion. I would find another pairing that allows them to have more individuality. The nature reference is a good start!
My list for girl #2 included
I think Wren is WAY to close to Rowen for a sibset.
Seeing as you like unisex names...How about...
anything you like?
Maybe it's my accent or something, but I don't think Wren sounds too similar to Rowan. I don't know.

Teagan is adorable! It's definitely a perfect choice with Rowan, but I couldn't use it. It just doesn't feel right. :(
I like Kellan but I'm afraid I would shorten it to Kell, and I have like 3 friends named Kelly (Kell)

I think Rowan and Wren are too close as well. I'm not crazy about Sawyer on a girl, but it does go very well with Rowan. Linden?
I guess I need to rethink Wren as well. :( I'm not a fan of Linden...sounds too much like Linda. I feel so lost when it comes to girls names, like nothing compares to Rowan.

I like Kellan, too. But since you have issues with the possibilities of Kel...how about Callan? I know a girl who goes by this and I have never heard anyone shorten it to Cal or anything. Honestly, I think if you introduce yourself Callan or Kellan or whatever, they will call you that. And if someone shortens it, just correct them. But I think the probability of Callan being shortened is very low.
Other names I think would fit...
Brette - I know a girl named this. Pronounced just like Brett
Sawyer and Wren are both really cute girl names but I love Alys (saw it on your signature). How can he dislike Ayls????
Callan is cute, but I have friends with a Cailinn and a Callum...too much
