What are some names you generally think of as "softer" boy names? I tend to be drawn to boy names that aren't things like Gunnar, Hunter, Harley, etc.
For example, I think of these as having softer sounds:
Cassius (cash-us) - a soft sound, but the Ali connection gives it an interesting contrasting fierce image. I like it for that balance.
Lemuel & Kemuel
Gershon, Gilead, Gideon
Ahh, I love the softer names, too!
Some of my favorites:
Jack (not quite so soft, but I think it can be)
Valerian/Aurelian/Florian (almost too feminine, though, maybe?)
Sebastian (some stronger sounds, but it really has a softer image to me)
I like the suggestions of Micah, Joshua, and Owen, too. And I love Asher, Rhys, and Noah (and even Julian) on your own list.
It's funny you mention Harley as a not soft name as I think it's very soft!
My favourite "soft" name is Gabriel. So gentle and musical yet still strong, love it.
I would agree with Julian and Christian and Noah, but for me Rhys and Finn are very adventurous sounding--maybe it's because of the choppy one syllable.
Others that are a bit soft imo:
Here are some that are soft, but I still like. Excuse any repeats:
I also find pretty much any unisex name soft. Avery, Peyton, Skyler, Sawyer . . . all soft on a boy to me.
