One of my best friends and her sister both have water middle names. They are named after their parents’ favorite vacation spots. My friend’s middle name is Chelan for the lake her sister’s middle name is Mackenzie for the river. So they are Alaina Chelan and Lauren Mackenzie.

I really like Loire (pronounced the French way!) & Maris, River, Nile…there are some great suggestions here. I do like ‘Constance’ for Lake Constance in Germany as well! I did know a girl named Seneca (one of the 5 Finger Lakes in the US) growing up, and thought it was a very pretty name!

I like Rain quite a bit– I knew a Rainn (male) in high school, and never really questioned the name. I actually like it a lot.
