Thank you for accepting Apple! I’ve always really liked it!

Moxie CrimeFighter! I mean come on, just think about the first name, it’s so cute! If she were Moxie Jane or Moxie Amelia (excuse my lack of creativity, it’s very late) or something no one would think anything of it!

I love this list, these are pretty much all my favorite celeb names. I forgot if you included Daisy Boo and Poppy Honey… they’re the epitome of cute… oh and Peaches Honeyblossom, though I guess that one is pretty old.

I think Domino is so amazing, I wish I was brave enough. And Mabel Painter Lowe is probably my faborite of them all, so understated and quirky and filled with so much imagery!

Dexter Lloyd is not cute to me… the rest I can agree with, but Tallulah Ruth is not the cutest of the celebrity baby Tallulah’s, both Tallulah Belle and Tallulah Fyfe are cuter!
I also agree with Lyndsay, Peaches Honeyblossom, Daisy Boo and Poppy Honey need to be on the list, as well as Fifi Trixibelle..
Some more I think are on the list somewhat undeserving:
Callum Lyon and Viggo Moriah… Viggo is just not cute, and Moriah too blah to be cute to me…
Kenzo Lee is perhaps too ordinary?
Coco is cute, Trinity is not…
Frances Pen is also a bit dull to me.. Francis Penn on a boy would raise no eyebrows.
And I don’t like Otis Tobias, although I understand why it’s on the cute list…
I think I like Everly Bear the most! Very cute!

And wasn’t there a Goldie born recently? Goldie is most definitely cute!!

I’ve always thought that Apple was such a lovely name. Their use of it wasn’t the first I’ve heard, either. We have an Apple in the family and she’s over 25.

I actually love Sunday Rose. I’m a little biased in that my name is Rose, but it has the right mixture of sweet and cute and quirky and it just makes me smile. I’m a big Apple fan, too. I was unsure of it for a while, but quickly warmed up to it. Its a really nice, unique name.

What about Ruby Sweetheart? Jennifer Meyer-Maguire and Toby Maguires son, Sister to Otis Tobias. Also, Charlotte Church has a daughter named Ruby.

Yes, I thought hard about Ruby Sweetheart, which is quite obviously cute, but I do think Ruby is too stylish and hipster to qualify for this middle-ground cute category. Definitely borderline though.

I never much cared for the name Apple until I heard Gwyneth in an interview (with Oprah, maybe?) saying how she was surprised that people reacted the way they did to it – she just thought it was a clean, biblical name. After I heard her describe why she loved it, I loved it too.

I’m also a huge fan of Sunday Rose. Awesome.

Eh, I’m still not a fan of Apple. I remember an interview where Gwyneth stated they thought the name was so wholesome. I think Alice would have been a much better choice. It’s got the wholesome appeal but is still a name a child can grow with. To each his own.

You didn’t mention Ben Affleck and Jennifer Gardner’s baby girls Violet and Seraphina. Maybe Violet is too ordinary now….I don’t know. and perhaps Seraphina isn’t ‘cute’ but I love that name.

I agree that Apple is very cute. I don’t think it deserved the flack it got. I do prefer it as a nickname for Apolline or Pomeline, but it never bothered me. I agree that Violet and Seraphina are just the two most gorgeous sibsets I have heard as of late.

Great list, especially the first three, and I think Charlie Tamara Tulip and Dolly Rebecca Rose are beyond adorable.

Not so recent, but Kate Winslet’s daughter, Mia Honey, has an adorable name. Clementine Jane was shortly on our favorites list (before we found out about the celebrity association) and I still think it cute. I’m kind of neither here nor there with Apple. I prefer Plum. I do like Adele, Frances, Emme, Otis and Coco though. Fun post!

I think it’s one of the less outrageous names I’ve seen used. I know it had been used by hippie types a number of years before this because I remember an Apple being interviewed by a teen magazine when I was a teenager. Her parents really WERE hippies and she lived in California and would now be in her thirties.

I see more people picking this one up now. A young couple from the town I live in is now living in California and was featured in an extremely crunchy pro home birth/breastfeeding/anti circumcision/attachment parenting/cloth diaper, etc. magazine which is printed here. Their baby daughter is named Medora Apple and their slightly older twins are named Jasper (boy) and Juniper (girl). I’d probably call them Neo-Hippies, though they’re in their twenties. I spotted an Applynn in the birth announcements in the paper not long after the celebrity Apple was born and I see that the third or fourth young Bristol this year is currently listed on one of the hospital Web sites in the state. Sarah Palin started a mini trend in North Dakota. I’ve also seen a couple Trigg/Trygs and at least one Tripp. Willow and Piper were already in use here, so it’s hard to tell if she had an influence with those names. They’re all cute/trendy.

Ok, ok, ok I get it that Ruby is now considered a hipster name. Which I am totally bummed about and kinda sick of hearing about because I wanted to name my daughter that. Espeically when it is not even in the top 100 (yet). But COME ON it is totally cute. It is really really cute. and does it really matter if it is hipster. What does that really mean anyway.

I tend to agree that celebrity names just aren’t that big a deal, and these people use the same reasons a lot of people use to name their children. The recent birth of Charlotte Grace was kind of nice, but I think ho-hum for a celebrity. I guess I liked it but so middle of the road. I tend to like boring normal names, despite Mr. Jillette’s sentiments, but he brings up some valid points. I repeat, the videos are Not Safe for Work, or if you have a kiddo on your lap or in the same room, or are sensitive to swearing, or for the 2nd video, if your name is Dave, proceed with caution.

I love all of the names on here, most are my kind of style, especially Dexter, Adele, Ever, Otis and Nahla. My parents work with names all day long, producing these exquisite towels with a kid’s name on them. We get a lot of crazy stuff but have never come across an Apple, although I love the name.

Love Apple (didn’t at first, I admit) but hate hate hate Dolly and Charlie. OMG! I was so excited when Rebecca was pregnant and couldn’t wait for the names….then Dolly and Charlie. Yeesh!!!

Callum…how is that cute?

I like Ever and Everly way more than I would expect myself to!!

my DS was born in May 16 and we named him Donovan in respect of his late great gran’s maiden name. We now see it so many places, especially with professional sports!

ANDREA!!! You just broke my heart. I’m not EVEN gonna re-mention the names of the twins (for a ridiculous fear of furthering their popularity) but those, THOSE. Oh, those were “my” names – the only ones I was certain of (Medora Apple, however, they can keep). Oh, it’s amazing how cruddy that feels. I have to chuckle at my own wet-blanketness. And then cry.
