My dad was Stephen Winthrop — the third generation to get the middle name. My brother got it as well, but it looks as if the streak ends with him, as he and my sister-in-law aren’t having children. Unless I use it…but even though there’s a town named Winthrop in my home state of Massachusetts, should I ever have a son, I’m afraid his middle name isn’t gonna be Winthrop. I’ll be calling him Christian Stephen instead (pending Dad’s approval, of course!).

And my dad’s name was Samuel, which lives on in my daughter Chloe’s middle name, Samantha.

My dad’s name was Joseph and I named my oldest son after him, a very happy decision. And my younger son has my grandfather Joseph’s middle name as a first: Owen. I really like these name echoes across the generations and it keeps my father and grandfather more present in my mind and in our family.

My fathers name is Robert Jon which is pretty common but my mothers fathers name is Norman Glen and my great grandpas name was Everett which is one of my favorite names. If i have a little boy his name would be Everett Jon.

My dad is Ronald Bryan. I don’t really like either name, but I’m thinking of honoring him by using Ronan as a middle for my first boy. Also, my dad’s dad was Atha Lee (went by his last name) and my mom’s dad was Eule Otha (went by Pete. Don’t ask me how that one worked out). My sister’s middle is after my dad’s dad (Lee), so I would also like to work in a Pete or Peter as a mn for my mom’s.

My dad is David Lawrence, and I love his name. In fact, my favorite boy’s name is Joel David, which is after both of my parents.

My mom’s adopted dad’s name was Carmelo, but he went by Carmel. (Carmelo is also one of my favorite names.)
My dad’s dad’s name was Oscar.

My dad is Robert Alexander. I plan to use his middle name for the second middle if I ever have a little boy. My mother’s father is Thomas; he’s my first name choice. I also have a Homer in the family as well as an Archibald.

My dad’s name is pretty normal. Robert Vernon. He’s still called Robbie. His father was Norman Hinson. He was called Hinson.
