Actually, they don’t, which was surprising to us. We usually get, “Oh, that’s an interesting name,” or, “That’s a really strong name.” Our family hated it at first, but now they can’t imagine him with another name. I used to worry about president remarks, but I’m over it especially since we hardly hear them. My niece’s name is Reagan, so we’ll see what happens when they go to school together…

My son is named Nixon Connolly and there’s another little boy in our city named Nixon James. Neither were named after President Nixon or family.

“Calvin” always reminds me not of Coolidge, but of Calvin and Hobbes… a much more pleasant association!

Quincy’s great! I’ve seen a few people considering Lincoln, one Truman and a Ford (which makes me think cars before President, myself) but wonder, where’s the Ulysses, Franklin, Herbert, Gerald, Abraham kids? All of these immediately make me think “President” (Well, Abraham also gets “bible” tossed in). Funny too, Quincy makes my head go “jazz” before “President”, but admit the link is secondary. Knox is Presidential too, It was Polk’s middle name. And Calvin’s long been a favorite. I wonder how many people link it to “Coolidge” in their heads?
