Even vampire babies need names, and some name-thirsty nameberryans are only too ready to conjure up some Gothic choices. Over on our message boards under Name Games, check out the Halloween-appropriate game: Name that Vampire Family.
The game and the names are hilarious….yet also strangely appealing. (Hmmmm, my teeth have been looking a little sharp lately, and I find myself feeling bizarrely most awake around midnight.)
Check the boards for our visitors’ vampire name ideas. Some Halloween-themed additions of our own, to bestow upon a child at your own peril:
Girls
MORDEA
Boys

Hey! Lucretia’s in my working list! I have her on there for Lucretia Mott, a hero of mine. the thought of Lucreziaorgia doesn’t bother me the slightest bit, I think she got a bum rap by the guys writing History!
Lenore, Ophelia, Perdita, Isolde & Phaedra are other favorites on my lists (not the working one though, the sound, meaning and/or assocation sort of renders them a bit less usable for me).
On the boys side, Boris is gorgeous, when said properly. bah-EES and I’d use him myself if I could guarantee the pronunciation I prefer. Bram’s been a favorite forever (thanks to Bram Stoker & Dracula, we’re HUGE Dracula buffs!) and Lazarus goes on and off my lists. I love his sound but don’t know how he’d go over in my neighborhood (where things like Phineas, Vanya, Stanley, Brian & Byron are heard for boys) maybe I should ask around?
