In Roman mythology, Nona was also a goddess of pregnancy and the spinner of the thread of life.
Nona was the mother of Saint David, the patron saint of Wales, and said to be a cousin of King Arthur. There is a childrens' book called Strega Nona by Tomie dePaola and an eponymous 1978 Stephen King short story.
