Kaidence is a newly-introduced variation of Cadence, a rhythmic musical name that's risen through the ranks in recent years and entered the Top 1000 in 2013. It gained enough momentum (266 spots) between 2012 and 2013 to be named one of the fastest-rising names of the year. Kaidence was recently prominent as the rumored choice of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West for their daughter (prior to the birth of North), a spin on established spelling variation Kadence. The trouble with the Kaidence spelling -- or should we say, one of the troubles -- is that it introduces pronunciation confusion. Does the first syllable rhyme with may or my? The advantage of Kaidence is that the short form can more plausibly be Kai, fresher than Kady or Kay.
